Class 9 (English Assignment)

The Exam Shortcut

Arjun had an important exam coming up. He hadn’t studied well because he spent most of his time playing games. A friend offered him a small piece of paper with answers written on it.

Arjun knew cheating was wrong, but he was afraid of failing. He thought, “Everyone does it sometimes.” During the exam, he used the paper and scored high marks.

At first, he felt happy. But later, when the teacher praised him in front of the class, Arjun felt uncomfortable. He knew the marks were not truly his. He also realized that by cheating, he had learned nothing and would struggle in the next exam.

The success felt empty.
