The Helpful Market Day

Every Saturday morning, Rina went to the local market with her grandfather. The market was always busy. Farmers sold fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, and milk. Some people carried heavy baskets, while others talked loudly with their friends.

One Saturday, dark clouds suddenly covered the sky. A strong wind began to blow, and people quickly started packing their things. Soon, heavy rain started falling. Many people ran to find a dry place.

Near the fruit shop, an old woman slipped on the wet road. Her bag fell down, and oranges rolled everywhere. Some people looked at her but hurried away because of the rain. Rina quickly ran to help the woman. She picked up the oranges and helped the woman stand up. Her grandfather also gave the woman an umbrella.

The old woman smiled and thanked them kindly. She said, “Helping others is more important than staying dry.” Rina felt proud and happy. On their way home, her grandfather said, “A small act of kindness can make a big difference.”
