Class 7 (English Assignment)

Passage: The Mystery of the Empty Garden

Rina’s school had a small garden where students planted flowers and vegetables. At the beginning of the year, the garden was healthy and full of green plants. However, after a few months, many plants started becoming weak. Some leaves turned yellow, and some plants stopped growing.

The students first thought that the plants needed more water, so they watered the garden every day. But the problem continued. Then they noticed that the garden received very little sunlight because a large tree was blocking the light. They also found that the soil was very hard and dry.

The science teacher asked the students to investigate instead of guessing. They collected information, compared healthy and unhealthy plants, and discussed possible solutions. They decided to trim some branches of the tree to allow sunlight, add compost to improve the soil, and water the plants only when needed.

After a few weeks, the garden became healthy again. The students learned that solving problems requires observation, investigation, and logical thinking rather than making quick decisions.
