English Assignment (Class 8)
The New Library Rule
A school library introduced a
new rule: students could borrow only one book at a time instead of three. The
librarian explained that this would allow more students to access popular
books.
Some students were unhappy with
the change. They argued that they often borrowed several books for projects and
would now need to visit the library more frequently. However, other students
supported the rule because they had previously found that many popular books
were unavailable for long periods.
After two months, the library
records showed that more students were borrowing books than before. However,
the total number of books borrowed each week had decreased slightly.
The school management had to
decide whether to keep the rule. They realized that the decision was not
simple. While more students had access to books, some students felt the rule
reduced convenience. The management decided to collect more information before
making a final decision.
