Class 7 (English Assignment)
Honesty and Doing the Right Thing
One day, Aarav found a wallet on
the school playground. It contained some money and an identity card. His
friends suggested that he should keep the money because nobody had seen him
find it. Aarav thought about their advice, but he knew that keeping something
that belonged to another person was not right.
He took the wallet to his
teacher. The teacher announced that a wallet had been found and asked the
students if anyone had lost one. A boy from Grade 7 came forward and identified
the wallet. He was very happy because the money was needed to buy medicine for
his sick mother.
Aarav felt proud that he had
returned the wallet. He understood that honesty means doing what is
right even when nobody is watching. His decision also helped someone
who was in need.
