Responsibility and Ethical Choices

Mina was the leader of a group project. Her group had to prepare a presentation about environmental pollution. Two days before the presentation, one member of the group became ill and could not complete his part of the work. Some students suggested removing his name from the project because they thought he had not contributed enough.

Mina disagreed. She believed that a responsible leader should understand the situation before making a judgment. She contacted the student and learned that he had already collected useful information but was unable to prepare his section because of his illness. Mina divided his remaining work among the other group members.

On presentation day, the group completed the project successfully. Mina learned that ethical leadership is not about blaming people when problems occur; it is about being fair, understanding circumstances, and finding responsible solutions.
